MSO emblem
The Medical Services Organization was formed by the UPF in 23 f.y. in an effort to find a cure for the Blue Plague that had swept across the Frontier six years previously. The MSO maintained centers on many UPF member worlds. In 24 f.y., the MSO center on Morgaine's World discovered a vaccine against the disease, which was eradicated from all but five systems by 27 f.y.[1]
The first Chief Surgeon of the MSO was Gretl Grohn.
