A Life Jacket (10 Cr, 1 kg wt.) is a device designed to keep an individual afloat under adverse conditions for unlimited amounts of time.

Available in a wide array of designs, the type commonly included in Emergency Survival Kits is a series of straps weighing about a kilogram which come folded in a package about the size of a human's fist,^[1] but can be adjusted to function ideally for every major race in the Frontier.

Other versions can be easily worn unobtrusively over or under normal clothing and may be purchased with many extras, such as lanterns, radio beacons or environmental hoods.
